Two days of being overwhelmed by India safely squared away, it was time for England’s Ludicrous Comeback™ to begin.
James Anderson started it, dismissing both openers cheaply, before Ben Stokes put an end to a spirited fightback from Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer by catching the latter with a brilliant catch, running with the skied ball, taking it over his shoulder in a tumbling, diving effort.
Imagine trying to play a game of cricket against Stokes. Maddening man, just doing improbable things - batting, run-outing, catching - to you without a word of apology. Play cricket properly, Ben.
